Pratt & Whitney Product Safety, Certification and Validation group is seeking a Product Cybersecurity Officer (PCO). This position will require activity primarily in East Hartford, CT.
As PCO, this role is responsible for the product cybersecurity strategy, policies, procedures, and deployment across the enterprise, ensuring Pratt & Whitney is a leader in cyber-secure end-to-end solutions across the connected ecosystem.
What You Will Do
- Develop strategy and execution plans for continued excellence and mitigation of risks in product assurance processes and initiatives
- Provide leadership for the Product Cybersecurity Office, Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Product Cyber Managers, and SBU Cyber Teams
- Be the visible leader for P&W with RTX stakeholders and with external agencies. Primary contact for product cyber incidents to external regulatory and investigative agencies, P&W Digital Technology, and security researchers.
- Primary contact for RTX Corporate Product Cyber, coordinating all P&W cyber reporting and reviews with RTX and interacting with key internal stakeholders (President of P&W, SBU Presidents, Engineering VPs, etc.)
- Dives proactive Cybersecurity culture and protects Pratt & Whitney’s brand and reputation
- Implement programs related to product cyber awareness, promotion, and training. Ensure alignment and integration of product cyber development tools/capabilities with Digital Technology
- Assures compliance with the RTX CODE for cyber services. Responsible for RTX’s compliance with this policy, collaboration amongst the Businesses’ product cybersecurity functions, including the sharing of Product Cybersecurity Incident reports that may have a cross-Business impact, visibility to RTX executive leadership of Significant Product Cybersecurity Incidents, and maintenance of an RTX-wide product cybersecurity culture that promotes awareness and rewards positive behavior.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor of Science in STEM or Engineering
- 14+ years of Engineering experience or 12+ years of aerospace engineering experience with an advance degree and 10+ years of engineering experience in an engine assembly or test environment.
- 5+ years of leadership experience on complex projects and initiatives supported by a matrixed organization (Such as: Engineering, Operations and/or Program Management)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

- Technical and strategic leadership experience around cyber, cybersecurity, or product cyber operations
- Active DoD Security Clearance or ability to get one
- Demonstrated strategic thinker with business innovation mindset
- Familiarity with engineering development processes and maintaining compliance to Regulatory requirements
- Highly motivated, able to work across organizational boundaries and have an exceptional customer focus.
- Ability to craft clear communication and develop meaningful relationships

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
