This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer, Ephemeral Infrastructure in the United States.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design, build, and scale ephemeral infrastructure that supports pre-production environments for engineering teams. You will be responsible for automating and improving tools that enable product engineers to deploy, test, and demo applications quickly and reliably. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic system design, empowering teams to move fast while maintaining production-grade reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor peers, and help define best practices for cloud-native infrastructure. The environment is fully remote with occasional in-person collaboration sessions across U.S. offices.

Accountabilities

  • Architect and implement ephemeral infrastructure using Kubernetes for development, pre-production testing, and demos
  • Automate and enhance developer tools, CI/CD pipelines, and pre-production environments
  • Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of tools and processes
  • Evangelize best practices and provide documentation to facilitate adoption of ephemeral infrastructure
  • Mentor team members and maintain high technical standards across infrastructure projects
  • Continuously improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency of infrastructure systems


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related roles
  • Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating Kubernetes clusters in production
  • Proficiency in Golang for developing infrastructure tooling
  • Strong expertise with AWS services, including EC2, S3, and EKS, in production environments
  • Deep knowledge of Linux system architecture, administration, and troubleshooting
  • Preferred: Certified Kubernetes Administrator/Architect (CKA/CKAD) or equivalent
  • Preferred: Experience designing and building Kubernetes operators
  • Strong CI/CD skills and experience with automated test coverage
  • Broad DevOps expertise across scripting, infrastructure as code, automation, and container orchestration
  • Experience with tools such as ArgoCD, Artifactory, Harness, or similar platforms
  • Ability to collaborate effectively on fully remote teams across multiple U.S. time zones
