Rivan Industries (Rivan.com) is a synthetic fuel company designed to decarbonise heavy industry. We’ve developed a unique power-to-fuel machine built for low-capex deployment powered entirely by utility-scale solar. We’re looking for a full-stack software engineer to help accelerate the development speed and scale of our software stack. The role

Dashboards

• Real-time controls interface for machinery
• Live / historical data logging & plotting

Detailed logging & error handing for client / server

• Error stacktraces
• Notification & warning system

Modular database & api design:

• Client / server authentication methods
• Socket API connection for realtime dashboards
• Distributed DB deployment backup & merging

Setup CI/CD pipeline for distributed deployment

• Work across sub-system teams to give ability to develop & modify each system quickly

Core skills

• 3+ years of professional experience
• Typescript
• Nodejs
• Nextjs
• Compiled language (Go / Rust / C / Zig)
• MySQL
• Docker & docker compose
• Airgapped Systems
• CICD Deployment (AWS & Self Hosted)

Preferable skills

• Chartjs, Drizzle, Lucia auth, ts-rest, fastify
• Distributed & modular monolith
• TCPIP socket management (compiled language)
• Wireguard
• General IT infra – Network switches, machine backups, ssh, etc

Specifics

• £60-90k salary depending on experience
• Significant share options as part of the early team
• In-person work at our HQ in Bermondsey, South-East London
• Extensive relocation support, including £6000 per year extra to live close to our HQ.
