Our client is seeking a Technical 3D Model Coordinator (m/w/d) to oversee and coordinate the interdisciplinary development of offshore converter platforms. Located in Rostock, Germany, this role offers the opportunity to work on innovative offshore projects, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical and electrical systems while collaborating with engineering teams.
Tasks
As a Technical 3D Model Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination and development of offshore platform designs. Your key tasks will include:
- Leading and coordinating interdisciplinary engineering efforts for offshore converter platforms;
- Ensuring seamless collaboration between structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams;
- Integrating mechanical and electrical systems into 3D models while maintaining compliance with industry standards;
- Facilitating technical reviews, design validation meetings, and coordination discussions;
- Ensuring consistency and accuracy in technical documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM), technical drawings, and specifications;
- Identifying and resolving design conflicts, while providing technical support to suppliers, customers, and stakeholders;
- Implementing and refining design guidelines and best practices to improve efficiency and reliability.
Job requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
- Several years of experience in offshore or plant engineering, with a strong focus on interdisciplinary coordination;
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Cadmatic, CATIA, E3D) and PLM/PDM systems;
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and offshore design guidelines (preferred);
- Experience in 3D modeling and collision detection;
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a structured and solution-oriented approach;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment;
- Fluent English skills (spoken and written); German language skills are a plus.
