Senior Rust Developer - Blockchain / Layer 1 / Smart Contract

We are currently partnered with an exciting blockchain lab enabling cutting-edge protocols in the Ethereum space. They are currently looking to expand their team with a Senior Rust Developer to take an active role in Layer 1 Smart Contract Development and R&D prototyping.

Our client is a remote-first business and can provide fully remote engagements within European time zones. (B2B is available)

Responsibilities for this Senior Rust Developer position:

• Maintain and improve business-critical infrastructure services written in Rust.
• Contribute to the R&D of prototype applications of cutting edge blockchain technologies.
• Actively contribute to the review of technical architecture companywide.
• Participate in the technical governance of OSS projects.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive programming skills in Rust.
• Experience working with both messaged based and event sourced architectures.
• Proven experience working in Smart Contract Development and Layer 1 Blockchain Infrastructure.
• Previous experience working with the NEAR ecosystem, specifically nearcore code base, is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with developing/auditing security sensitive code and the EVM/web3 ecosystem is highly beneficial
