SOFTWARE TEST ARCHITECT
About the Company - Our client is focused on the development and production of advanced technological modules and systems for their customers operating in high-tech sectors. The software team is responsible for creating these systems in close coordination with manufacturing facilities.
We are looking for candidates with a valid residence permit in the Netherlands for this role.
About the Role - They are currently seeking a Software Test Architect to take on the following key responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing strategies to minimise software defects through a testing-driven approach;
- Enhancing the expertise in (automated and manual) testing within the software team and collaborating closely with software architects and teams;
- Establishing and continuously improving the test automation framework and CI/CD pipeline in partnership with software development teams;
- Creating and integrating test automation scripts into the framework and pipeline;
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to refine the testing methodology and processes;
- Serving as a representative within the wider software testing community, including client teams;
- Supporting teams in performing software quality assessments, reporting on test coverage and residual risks;
- Assisting in hands-on test execution when needed.
Qualifications - A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field;
Required Skills
- A strong academic foundation, with at least five years of experience in software verification and validation roles, preferably in a complex machine building environment;
- Familiarity with C++;
- Experience in setting up and optimising test frameworks;
- At least two years of experience in the semiconductor industry;
- A proven track record in defining and implementing testing processes; Proficiency in test automation, manual testing, and modern testing tools;
- Familiarity with Agile, SCRUM methodologies, and Test Driven Development;
- ISTQB Full Advanced Level certification or similar qualification is highly desirable;
- A proactive, analytical, and creative mindset with a solution-oriented attitude.
Preferred Skills
- At least two years of experience in the semiconductor industry;
- Familiarity with C++;
- Expertise in test automation and manual testing; setting up test frameworks
