THE TEAM
You will join our Development team, responsible for designing, producing, and maintaining our autonomous mobile robots - arculees. You will be a part of a cross-functional, agile, international, and distributed workforce, creating the best possible experience for our users.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The aim of this job is to design, implement and test high-level functions for mobile robots together with other robotics engineers in an agile environment.
As a Robotics Engineer Algorithm, your tasks will include:
- Prototype and deploy robust and reliable solutions to cutting-edge localization, motion planning, control, and perception problems.
- Design and implement use-case specific behaviours using Behaviour Trees.
- Generate simulations that target specific challenges.
- Build learning approaches that adapt the algorithms in the presence of data.
- Quantify the performance and safety characteristics of an autonomous mobile robot.
- Accelerate onboard software development with improved tools and visualization.
- Design and perform automated integration tests in order to ensure product quality of software releases.
QUALIFICATIONS
- MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years experience in at least one of robotics research in motion planning and control (e.g., trajectory optimization, planning under uncertainty, probabilistic robotics, optimal control, guidance, navigation and control, etc.), data analysis at scale, machine learning at scale.
- Proven experience programming in C++ and with robust, safety-critical, efficient code.
- Expert knowledge of solving software problems using geometry and linear algebra.
- Extensive experience in working with simulation and short time-to-market cycles.
- Wide understanding in designing and building state of the art machine learning algorithms.
- Passion about autonomous mobile robots.
- Interest in learning from and optimizing for users
