Our client, a global leader in IT services and consulting, is looking for an Application Support Specialist to join the Global RM-Application Support Team. This role is fully remote and will provide business operational support for a critical SAP-based resource management system used worldwide.



As an Application Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing first and second-level support to ensure system stability, business continuity, and operational efficiency. You will also contribute to system administration, user management, incident resolution, and process improvements.


🔑 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd level support for end-users, handling incidents and ensuring business continuity.
  • Assist users with process and system-related issues, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Manage authorizations and oversee governance mechanisms for user access.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to resolve bugs, ensuring high-quality fixes and system integrity.
  • Support testing of system enhancements and work closely with the IT BUILD team.
  • Administer and customize the system based on evolving business needs.
  • Collect user feedback and escalate issues to the relevant teams.
  • Develop automation solutions (Scripting, VBA-Programs) to improve support efficiency.
  • Create documentation for both technical teams and end-users.
  • Proactively identify risks and take actions to prevent critical system issues.


🎓 Requirements

Work Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in system support / application management services.
  • Hands-on experience with incident management and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience in working within virtual teams and following a follow-the-sun support model.

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in SAP ABAP stack.
  • Experience in job scheduling and table maintenance within SAP GUI.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP MRS and SAP HR org models.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (IT-Direct preferred).
  • Programming skills in Java, VBA, or ABAP (a plus).

Soft Skills & Language

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
