Cake is on a mission to accelerate startup team motivation through equity, used by over 17,000 startups across 70+ countries. We’re looking for a UI Engineer / Front-End Engineer who’s passionate about building intuitive, user-focused solutions and loves solving complex challenges.

Must haves:

• 5 years experience with a technology driven software company (no ecommerce or boilerplate backgrounds sorry)
• Must have expertise in vanilla JavaScript, CSS/SCSS.
• Solid React experience, with custom reusable component based architectures.
• Passion for clean, maintainable code: performance, testing (Cypress experience is a plus) and building responsive, mobile-first designs.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle front-end challenges independently.
• You’re great at working with a distributed team, with limited meetings.

What you’ll do:

• Drive the front-end – turn complex requirements into beautiful, functional designs and see your impact from day one.
• Build high-performance UIs focusing on responsiveness and seamless UX.
• Shape our product and see your work's impact on some of the most exciting startups in the world.
• Jointly own front-end architecture – collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver engaging, scalable solutions.
• Innovate with modern tools and bespoke frameworks, always keeping great UX core.
