THE TEAM

You will join our Development team, responsible for designing, producing, and maintaining our autonomous mobile robots - arculees. You will be a part of a cross-functional, agile, international, and distributed workforce, creating the best possible experience for our users.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Control Engineer is accountable for maximizing the performance of the electric drive and lift motor inverters of our Autonomous Mobile Robots.

Your tasks will include:

  • Design and Implement new concepts for regulating our electric drive and lift motor inverters.
  • Test and debug existing motor control implementations using test benches and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs).
  • Cooperate with the embedded software engineers to integrate motor control algorithms on our microcontrollers.
  • Cooperate with the other teams that might interface with motor control (Electronics, Mechanics, Functional Safety, and others).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in an engineering discipline, or the equivalent in experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in motor control or any other relevant application.
  • Strong theoretical background and a comprehensive understanding of how electric motors work and how they are controlled.
  • Proactive and comfortable working under your own initiative.
  • Willing to conduct research and background reading on necessary and related topics.
  • Experience with motor control model design in Simulink and code generation.
  • Capable of working in a multi-disciplinary environment, e.g. with Electronic Engineers and Firmware Engineers.
  • Comfortable with operating electronics lab test equipment.
  • Business Fluent English.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience implementing, testing and debugging motor control firmware written in C.
  • Comfortable using a Linux environment.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with Git and Gitlab.
  • Experience with Altium.
  • Comfortable interpreting and reviewing hardware schematics.
