About:

The role requires strong expertise in blending DevOps and Software Engineering practices to create a highly optimized and observable infrastructure. The candidate will play a key role in managing and automating systems with tools like Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes, while integrating observability frameworks using DataDog and ensuring seamless CI/CD workflows with GitHub Actions and YAML.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Infrastructure Development and Management

  • Design and implement frameworks and tools to manage and maintain a unified system infrastructure, leveraging Azure, AWS, and TypeScript to ensure scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Automate processes to improve performance, reliability, and developer experience using Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Assess system capacity, predict growth trends, and plan for scalability to meet business needs.
  • Integrate security measures, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Site Reliability and Observability

  • Establish observability and monitoring solutions using DataDog, enabling proactive detection and resolution of system issues.
  • Act as the first point of contact for user issues, diagnosing root causes and resolving incidents effectively.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery planning, failure testing, and system performance optimizations.
  • Maintain and upgrade tools, open-source software, and operating systems to support platform operations..

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with software engineers, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and enhance system usability.
  • Identify optimization opportunities, propose innovative solutions, and implement best practices to enhance system performance.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in infrastructure and software engineering.

Technical Leadership and Compliance

  • Mentor team members on automation, observability, and infrastructure management.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure data and platform security.
  • Participate in and contribute to relevant open-source projects.



REQUIREMENTS

  • 6+ years of technical experience in infrastructure domains, including container orchestration, platform engineering, software engineering, or network engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and YAML-based CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with observability tools like DataDog and building monitoring frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure and working familiarity with AWS.
  • 1+ year(s) experience with deploying and managing infrastructure in data centers



Important: This is a fully Remote opportunity for one of our esteemed clients.

Working Location: 100% Remote

  • Time zone overlap requirements: PST Full overlap overlap is required
  • Contract details: Long-term contract position (1 year – Renewed annually)
  • Full-time dedication (40 hours/week)
