What is the job about?

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing cutting-edge technologies and tackling challenging engineering projects focused on sustainability, green chemistry, and circular economy. Your responsibilities will span the entire engineering process, from initial concept development to final commissioning. This position offers the chance to work on diverse processes for various international clients, allowing you to expand your engineering expertise and develop both technical and interpersonal skills.

Examples of projects include:

• Designing reactor systems for sectors such as Pharmaceuticals, Desalination, Carbon Capture, and multiphase chemistry.
• Scaling innovative processes from lab prototypes to pilot plants and full-scale production.
• Integrating new apparatuses into existing installations, both off-site and on-site.

For this position, we would like to get in touch with all‑round mechanical professionals who recognize themselves in this description:

• degree (Bachelor) in mechanical engineering or related.
• identify as an all-round or generalist engineer; not a specialist in 1 narrow area, pref. no Masters nor PhD.
• possess proven skills when it comes to gas/liquid/solids handling. Preferably in a combination of these at demanding conditions in terms of temperature and pressure.
• have experience in mechanical design, BOM preparation, and GMP
• have industrial work experience on skid design and 2D/3D drafting
• have experience working with piping arrangements and equipment selection
• can read and understand well PFDs and P&IDs
• focus and entrepreneurial attitude.
• feel comfortable to work in a multidisciplinary environment and enjoy interacting with fellow engineers and clients, especially the interaction of the fun(ny) type :-)
• have a practical hands-on attitude and are keen to develop solutions that work and keep working.
• engaged and well-developed communicative skills. What we mean by that? Your reports are clear, concise and accurate. You align the info that you wish to share and you are a good listener.
• English. Command of Dutch is highly preferred (if not: we offer a bespoke language training)
