Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Developer to design, develop, maintain, and deploy Oracle database solutions in Production environments. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation and optimization of our database systems, directly impacting the success of our applications and services.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand the impact of Oracle database patches and upgrades on project databases, serving as an Oracle subject matter expert.
- Collaborate with team members to translate user requirements into technical specifications.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and PL/SQL scripts for efficient data manipulation and business logic implementation.
- Perform database performance tuning and ensure efficient query execution within a distributed architecture.
- Uphold data integrity and security with robust validation and access controls.
- Conduct extensive testing and debugging to mitigate defects in Oracle applications.
- Collaborate with database administrators to maintain optimal database health and performance.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and coding standards.
- Stay informed on the latest Oracle technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation in database development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrable expertise as an Oracle Developer with a profound understanding of Oracle database concepts, architecture, and data modeling.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL programming, database design, PL/SQL scripting, and stored procedures.
- Must have experience with Oracle security features like Database Vault and data encryption, as well as Oracle Partitioning.
- Familiarity with Java development and the ability to collaborate effectively with Java developers.
- Knowledge of performance tuning tools and techniques, such as Explain Plan, Autotrace, AWR.
- Proficient with Oracle tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL Developer, DataPump, and Oracle Text.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across all organizational levels.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Oracle certifications are an advantage.
- Additional knowledge of Docker, Openshift, and Python is beneficial.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment is highly desirable.
