My client is a small-mid sized diversified Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund, which includes high frequency trading desks, however low and ultra-low latency technology solutions are intrinsic to both Systematic and Automated Mid and HF teams X-desk for both Listed and OTC Mkts.
YOUR TEAMMATES and required BACKGROUND
The Core Low Latency Engineering Group now seeks several gifted Software Developers, with a genuine passion for Software Engineering (and Computer Science) and C++. The team is an ensemble of 1st class ComSci graduates from Tier-1 schools inc. EPFL, ETH, Stanford, MIT, TUM, Imperial, Ecole Polytechnique, HKUST, Nanyang, IIT, et al, with 2 to 20 years’ experience many ICs coming from other sectors such as Tech, BigTech, Formula 1, HPC Research Centres, rather than other Funds / Prop Trading firms.
These roles suit individuals for which this will be your 2nd/3rd job post BSc, MSc/MA, PhD, (1 of which will have been in ComSci), so you’ll likely have 2 to Max. 10 yrs’ exp (albeit as a Programmer it's irrelevant whether someone's 16 or 60) as a C++ Developer / Programmer working on high throughput &/ low latency applications in ANY sector(s).
You're a true advocate of the language, who likely follows the ISO/IEC Committee and abreast of the latest paradigms within modern versions (20-26).
What you'll DESIGN, BUILD, IMPLEMENT........
You will work across the following C++17 to 23 based functionality –
There's a multitude of greenfield initiatives across Systematic and higher frequency teams operating in Equity, Debt, Commodities, FX, Derivs (L & Non-Lr) and Digital Assets markets, approved for 2024 and 2025, post outstanding ROI in 2021, 22, and 23.

CitSec and DES, enabling a shallow Mkts learning curve.
FYI there's not an annual ~10% cull to keep people on their toes here.
VITAL for these roles
Applicants suited to these roles require very strong skills in ALL the following standard and complex parts of CPP, and be entirely comfortable with HackerRank / LeetCode and peers, plus discussing complex technical topics and software architectures (via Whiteboard / Excalidraw sessions)
Additionally, exposure/familiarity with some of the most Advanced topics / Idioms inc. the likes of Variadic Temp. (within Mp), Plmpl, Copy-Swap, RAII, CRTP, etc., would be greatly valued.
Finally, the supportive aforementioned outstanding academics, coupled with Linux fundamentals are must haves, and given the varied nature of the functionality (mentioned above) you’d touch within LLG, any previous academic or commercial experience of TCP / UDP stacks and socket skills, Kernel Dev / Bypass tech, FPGA (and HDLs), CPU/GPU (with par. lang. such as MPI, CUDA, et al), would be considered an added bonus and utilised.

Obviously, If you're the next Korotkevich, Grace Hopper, Stroustrup, Ritchie, Guido van Rossum, et al, then the C-Level will happily flex further!
