Key Responsibilities
Define architecture and modeling standards for analytics platform layers
Establish end-to-end data lineage and maintain a data catalog and glossary
Implement data protection controls for sensitive information
Set and monitor data service level agreements and reliability targets
Design data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration processes
Manage schema design review, versioning, and change management
Approve changes through design reviews to ensure platform coherence
Collaborate with analysts, BI developers, and business leaders on data models
Coordinate with Security, Legal, and Compliance on audits and access
Enforce engineering best practices including version control and automated testing
Document architectural decisions and design trade-offs
Mentor data and analytics engineers through guidance and collaboration
