Key Responsibilities
Build infrastructure as code from zero: hosts, networking, ingress, access and environments
Own CI/CD and the release path with automated test gates, preview URLs and one-click rollback
Deliver self-service deployment via a golden path
Implement security in the pipeline as merge gates (SAST, DAST, dependencies, images, secrets)
Manage secrets and machine identity including for AI agents
Ensure backups with proven restores and documented recovery testing
Provide observability and cost control with monitoring and budgets
Document everything reproducibly

🚀 The role in short
Join a newly created engineering team as its first DevSecOps engineer and build the delivery platform from the ground up, with security designed in from the start. This is a greenfield role: you set the foundations, you own them, and you decide how they are built.
📍 Location: Barcelona, on-site (short-term remote flexibility available) · 🕘 Type: full-time, permanent contract directly with the end client (no outsourcing or body leasing) · 🎯 Seniority: Senior (cannot be filled by a junior or mid profile) · 🤝 Reports to: the Head of Engineering, no layers in between · 🌍 Working language: English
