Key Responsibilities
Develop and contribute to statistical genetics strategies supporting early drug discovery and translational research programmes.
Design, execute and interpret large-scale population and statistical genetics analyses using biobanks, clinical cohorts and multi-ancestry datasets.
Apply advanced statistical methods, including GWAS, fine-mapping, Mendelian randomisation, colocalisation, rare variant analysis and QTL integration.
Integrate human genetic evidence with transcriptomics, proteomics, single-cell data and functional biological studies to identify and validate therapeutic targets.
Translate genetic findings into actionable recommendations supporting target prioritisation, risk assessment and pipeline progression.
Contribute to strategic go/no-go decisions by evaluating genetic evidence, biological plausibility and therapeutic potential.
Develop scalable analytical pipelines, reproducible workflows and robust scientific methodologies.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across computational biology, drug discovery, translational science and experimental research.
Establish and strengthen academic, clinical and population research collaborations.
Present scientific findings and strategic recommendations to senior research stakeholders.
Contribute to publications, scientific innovation and the development of advanced research capabilities.
