Key Responsibilities

Lead a team of software developers (junior through Staff level) in designing, developing, and maintaining a high-performance DNS resolver for BlueCat’s Horizon Platform

Collaborate with Product Management and Release Management to plan, scope, estimate, and deliver new DNS resolver capabilities and cloud management services

Participate in architecture and design discussions, review technical approaches, and contribute to the Rust-based codebase for performance-sensitive, concurrent systems

Mentor and develop team members’ careers, ensuring their growth while removing roadblocks and maintaining high engineering standards

Guide architectural decisions for DNS resolver evolution, cloud-native migration, and integration with AWS/Azure/GCP services

Investigate and triage customer-reported issues, coordinating with Customer Care and cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges

Balance delivery of new features with technical debt reduction, reliability improvements, and long-term architectural enhancements
