Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair network hardware (cables, optics, switches) while adhering to safety protocols (PPE, ESD, lockout/tagout)

Collaborate with engineering, facility, and supply chain teams to support data center upgrades, decommissioning, and new builds

If that doesn’t work, they send a field technician to your home to fix it in person. This role is that field technician, except the work happens inside a data center rather than in people’s homes. Candidates should know fiber optics and be physically fit, since the job involves carrying heavy equipment. The role is straightforward, and there are plenty of qualified candidates available.
