Key Responsibilities
Translate creative briefs into clear technical goals, breaking down complex projects into actionable workflows for the 3D team
Oversee and refine the entire CG pipeline—modelling, animation, lighting, rendering, and compositing—ensuring high visual quality and consistency
Lead the Edit, Conform, and Grade process, mentoring the team and correcting colour pipelines and compositing as needed
Collaborate with Creative Directors and Producers to scope 3D/CG tasks during bidding, ensuring realistic budgets, resourcing, and timelines
Conduct early-stage R&D for pitches and technically challenging briefs, testing feasibility and scalability for the wider team
Act as the go-to advisor for the team on technical approaches, shots, techniques, and tool selection
Train and onboard freelancers, ensuring they integrate smoothly into projects
Share project-level learnings and tooling needs with the CG Supervisor to inform studio-wide pipeline strategy
Mentor junior CG Designers in technical craft, workflow optimization, and problem-solving
Explore and integrate new real-time, experiential, and AI workflows into the studio’s production pipelines
