Key Responsibilities

Design and build TypeScript-based AML services (case management, business backends, and person services) with emphasis on performance, scalability, security, and observability

Lead team-level design reviews, write architecture decision records (ADRs), and ensure alignment with SEON’s platform-wide technical standards

Challenge ambiguous requirements, raise risks early, and mentor engineers through code reviews, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing initiatives

Maintain and enhance client-side JavaScript libraries, Node.js backends, and Nest.js/ExpressJS services while ensuring maintainability and testability

Participate in on-call rotations, debug complex cross-system incidents, and drive root cause analysis with blameless postmortems

Proactively improve monitoring, alerting, and runbooks for owned services while setting quality gates and testing standards

Collaborate with product managers, QA, DevOps, and senior stakeholders to prioritize and deliver features aligned with customer needs

Lead planning, estimation, and project execution for large initiatives, breaking scope into incremental work streams and unblocking team progress

Optimize CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and team workflows using retrospective data and delivery metrics

Work with large datasets (screening/watchlist data) while ensuring performance, accuracy, and auditability

Leverage AI-assisted tools in development and identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements in products and processes
