Key Responsibilities
Lead a hands-on, multi-quarter storage programme from problem definition and architecture to delivery.
Build production services, controllers, and infrastructure using Python, Go, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
Partner with ML and data teams to remove storage bottlenecks and reduce GPU wait times.
Collaborate with Security and Privacy teams to strengthen access controls, auditing, and safe data deletion.
Write design documents and RFCs to align teams around shared standards and mentor engineers.
Implement data ownership, governance, tagging, and team-level cost attribution.
Build retention, deletion, and re-tiering capabilities for Azure Blob storage.
Improve read performance and caching to tackle small-object reads and cross-region hops.
Design Kubernetes-native NVMe caching and secure replication across regions and clouds.
Establish standards, dashboards, and SLOs for availability, performance, and cost.
