Wayve is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to build foundational AI platforms for autonomous driving. You will design and develop high-quality, scalable Python libraries and tools to support thousands of GPUs and accelerate ML model development. Key requirements include deep Python expertise, proven experience leading software system design and delivery at scale, and a strong understanding of concurrent/distributed computing. This role involves turning complex ML requirements into stable, reusable libraries and clear APIs, while remaining hands-on and guiding other engineers.

Key Responsibilities
Design and write Python code, leading projects from discovery through delivery.
Improve engineering standards and support users as they push the scale and performance of their models.
Build modular libraries for areas such as multimodal data loading, distributed training and inference, checkpointing and observability.
Improve the reliability, performance and developer experience of systems used across Wayve.
Help teams train models efficiently on large GPU clusters and work with camera, radar, lidar and other data sources.
