Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance on reliability, maintainability, and performance.
Translate complex tax rules and compliance requirements into executable technical models.
Analyze the current technology landscape to identify systemic risks and define modernization paths.
Establish architecture principles, engineering standards, and governance practices.
Mentor and influence senior engineers and technical leads on design and code quality.
Communicate complex technical trade-offs to senior leaders across Finance, Product, and Engineering.

Nice to Have
Experience designing global tax platforms for multiple jurisdictions and currencies
Experience with tax engines like Avalara, Vertex, or OneSource
Experience with ERP systems, financial ledgers, invoicing, and billing
Familiarity with event-driven architecture and streaming technologies
Experience with cloud-native patterns, Kubernetes/EKS, and serverless platforms
Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, SOX, or equivalent financial compliance frameworks
Experience leading large-scale platform modernization or architecture transformation
Exposure to global commerce, travel, payments, or marketplace environments

This position is based in Bangkok, Thailand. (Relocation support is provided)
