Define and own the performance measurement framework, release gates, and triage systems for Wayve’s Robotaxi deployment (driving + pick-up/drop-off) with no existing playbook to follow
Lead cross-functional execution across AV core, robotics, validation, and SRE teams to align roadmaps with performance outcomes without direct reporting authority
Hands-on ownership of production deployments, including release processes, rollback plans, and real-time debugging in Python/C++/SQL for AI-driven autonomy stacks
Key Responsibilities
Design and evolve the autonomy performance measurement framework, including metrics, dashboards, and narrative leadership tools for ship/no-ship decisions
Build and run the end-to-end performance improvement loop: detect issues, triage, prioritize fixes, and validate improvements across model, robot software, backend, and evaluation tooling
Define and enforce production release gates, regression detection, and rollback plans for Robotaxi deployments, owning readiness calls and incident follow-through
Collaborate cross-functionally with AV core, robotics, validation, and SRE teams to align technical roadmaps with performance outcomes without direct authority
Stay hands-on in data and code (Python/C++/SQL) to accelerate debugging, validate improvements, and unblock delivery in real-world driving scenarios
Integrate new model features and architectures from core engineering into live Robotaxi operations while ensuring operational stability
Map and prioritize top fixes across backend, robot, and driving model systems within the first 90 days, shipping end-to-end deployments
Technical Skills Required
Python SQL Machine Learning/ML-Driven Robotics
Benefits & Perks
Market-benchmarked annual salaries
Meaningful equity and long-term ownership
Relocation support and visa sponsorship where applicable
