Our client is an AI-native commerce platform that bundles every merchant tool natively, with an AI agent as the primary interface. Building a direct alternative to Shopify and the legacy commerce stack, they are a Y Combinator-backed startup with $7M in total funding, a team of 10, and over 30,000 users.
Role Overview
As a Fullstack Software Engineer, you will build across the entire stack (both backend and frontend) and own features end-to-end. Working alongside a tight-knit team in San Francisco, you will treat the frontend as a product surface, understand UX and user behavior, ship quickly, and iterate based on real user feedback. Relocation support (including flights to SF) and visa transfers (OPT/H1B) are available.

• Build features across the backend and frontend stack, taking end-to-end ownership.
• Treat the frontend as a product surface by deeply understanding UX and user behavior.

• Maintain codebase scalability and participate in system architecture design.

• 2 to 3 years of experience as a full-stack software engineer.
• Solid full-stack ability across both backend and frontend development.
• Proven track record at companies known for a high engineering bar, with a strong preference for VC-backed startups.
• AI fluency as a core skill to scale and automate work.
• Background of studying at an excellent university, or having dropped out / founded a venture.
• Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco with nontraditional startup hours.
• Ability to handle visa transfer requirements (if applicable; open to OPT or H1B transfers).
