The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end IT setup of a new non-GMP laboratory and office location in Suzhou, China. The role coordinates the design, implementation, and readiness of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and laboratory systems, ensuring the new site can operate effectively and in accordance with corporate IT standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end IT project for the setup and operational readiness of the new laboratory and office location in China.
• Coordinate the implementation of IT infrastructure, networks, workplace technology, and cybersecurity for the new site.
• Manage the deployment and integration of corporate and laboratory applications, including SAP, DMS, GLIMS, Empower, and other relevant systems.
• Align IT requirements across the three laboratory business platforms and ensure solutions meet local operational and corporate standards.
• Develop and manage the overall project plan, milestones, budget, resources, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Coordinate global and local IT teams, business stakeholders, laboratory teams, vendors, and implementation partners.
• Manage system and infrastructure readiness, testing, cutover, go-live, and transition into operations.

• Provide transparent project reporting and ensure timely escalation and resolution of critical risks and decisions.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of IT project management experience, ideally including new site, laboratory, manufacturing, or greenfield IT setup projects.
• Strong experience managing projects covering IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and system integration.
• Experience with SAP and enterprise/laboratory systems; knowledge of DMS, LIMS/GLIMS, Empower, or comparable platforms is advantageous.
• Experience working in pharmaceutical, life sciences, laboratory, or similarly complex environments strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage global and local stakeholders, external vendors, budgets, risks, and cross-functional project teams.
• Experience with IT cutover, go-live, and operational readiness for new sites or facilities is preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with fluent business English
