Location: San Antonio, TX (Onsite)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $20 - $25 per Hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Employment/Recruiting Coordinator to support onboarding operations and deliver an exceptional new hire experience. This role is responsible for coordinating critical onboarding activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and federal employment regulations, and maintaining accurate employee data throughout the hiring process.
The Employment Coordinator serves as a key liaison between candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, HR teams, and external vendors to ensure a seamless transition from offer acceptance through onboarding. This position plays a vital role in supporting operational efficiency, maintaining compliance standards, and creating a positive first-day and first-week experience for new hires.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of progressive experience in onboarding, recruiting coordination, HR operations, or a related field.
- Proctoring Exams
- Hands-on experience with:
- I-9 verification
- E-Verify processes
- Pre-employment onboarding activities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with candidates, employees, and leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & New Hire Support
- Coordinate and execute onboarding activities for new hires from pre-employment through orientation.
- Ensure timely completion of onboarding requirements, including I-9 verification, employment eligibility documentation, and pre-employment screenings.
- Manage onboarding workflows and communications to ensure a smooth and positive experience for candidates.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to facilitate successful first-day and first-week experiences.
- Schedule and coordinate orientation sessions, onboarding events, and required onboarding activities.

- Conduct I-9 verification and support E-Verify processes in compliance with federal regulations.
