We are looking for a Data Scientist to join a high-impact initiative with one of the leading airlines in Latin America. This Role is open for people based in Argentina / Chile / Colombia
You will be part of multidisciplinary product teams, working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Data Engineers, ML Engineers, and business stakeholders to transform complex problems into intelligent, production-ready solutions. What To Expect In This Role
- Data Science & Machine Learning: Identify opportunities where Data Science can create measurable business impact and design, build, and deploy Machine Learning solutions.
- Forecasting & Optimization: Develop forecasting and optimization solutions to support complex business and operational decisions.
- Experimentation & Causal Inference: Apply rigorous experimentation and causal inference techniques to validate hypotheses and measure business impact.
- Generative AI: Explore and develop solutions leveraging Large Language Models and Generative AI where applicable.
- Production ML: Collaborate with Data Engineers and ML Engineers to deliver production-grade solutions following MLOps best practices.
- Model Improvement: Continuously monitor, experiment, and iterate on models to improve performance and business outcomes.
- Business Impact: Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Excellence: Contribute to the Data Science practice through knowledge sharing, technical reviews, reproducibility, and engineering best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work within multidisciplinary product teams alongside Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience developing Machine Learning or advanced analytics solutions in production environments.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade Machine Learning models.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and continuous learning.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Product Managers, and business stakeholders.

- Strong knowledge of Time Series Forecasting.
- Experience with Causal Inference and Experimentation.

- Previous experience in industries involving high-volume, complex operational or transactional data.
