Kforce has a client in need of a Sr. Software Product Security hybrid onsite in San Diego, CA. This role will relocate or transfer visas.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, assess, and respond to product and application security risks, vulnerabilities, and emerging cybersecurity threats
- Conduct security assessments, risk analyses, and testing activities to support secure product development
- Partner with engineering teams to define, implement, and validate security requirements and controls
- Develop, execute, and automate security, patch validation, and vulnerability testing processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues across networked systems, applications, and devices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product security, reliability, and regulatory compliance
- Provide technical guidance on cybersecurity best practices to internal teams and stakeholders
- Support ongoing security monitoring, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in customer, field service, and engineering activities as needed to support secure product deployments

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field
- 4-15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, product security, network security, or related security engineering roles
- 7-15+ years of professional security related experience.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, and risk assessment methodologies
- Experience with network security, enterprise infrastructure, and security monitoring tools
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and modern networking technologies
- Experience in performing security testing, application validation, and system troubleshooting
- Familiarity with secure software development practices and security requirements implementation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident investigation skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+, or similar) are preferred
- Experience in regulated industries, healthcare, medical devices, or compliance-focused environments is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
