Senior AI Motion Designer

As a Senior AI Motion Designer, you will combine motion design expertise with advanced AI-powered creative workflows to turn ideas into compelling visual experiences. You will create motion and video content while actively using different AI tools to explore concepts, develop visual directions, accelerate production, and expand what is creatively possible.

AI is rapidly changing how motion content is imagined, produced, and scaled. Our clients need motion designers who bring strong traditional craft while also understanding how to integrate emerging AI capabilities into real creative workflows.

This role exists for a Motion Designer who can combine design judgment, animation expertise, storytelling, and experimentation with AI. You will help turn creative direction into polished motion work while using AI to accelerate exploration, generate visual possibilities, improve production workflows, and push ideas beyond what traditional tools alone can achieve.

The goal is not simply to use AI because it is available. It is to understand where AI meaningfully improves the creative process while maintaining human ownership of concept, taste, storytelling, accuracy, and final quality.

What you will be doing:

• Create AI-enabled motion work: Design and produce high-impact motion graphics and video content for social media, digital campaigns, branding, and more, using a combination of traditional and AI-powered workflows.
• Integrate AI throughout the creative process: Use node-based AI and modern creative tools across ideation, visual exploration, storyboarding, asset generation, animation, video creation, editing, and refinement where they can meaningfully improve the work.
• Take visuals from concept to final animation: Own the motion design process from layout and composition through animation, refinement, and final delivery.
• Edit and assemble video content: Combine footage, sound, graphics, typography, and motion to create cohesive and polished final outputs.
• Develop storyboards and motion concepts: Translate briefs and creative direction into clear visual narratives, exploring different ideas and approaches before moving into production.
• Apply strong motion and design principles: Use typography, layout, composition, pacing, animation principles, and visual storytelling to ensure every frame feels intentional.
• Adapt across brands and audiences: Work across different industries, brand identities, formats, and motion styles while maintaining consistency and a high level of craft.
• Collaborate closely with creative teams: Partner with Creative Directors and fellow creatives, contributing ideas, responding thoughtfully to feedback, and iterating with openness and intention.
• Keep evolving your craft: Stay current with motion design trends, AI, tools, and emerging techniques to continue improving creative quality and production efficiency.

What you will bring:

• 5+ years of experience in motion design, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating motion design, video, visual storytelling, and AI workflows.
• Strong practical experience using AI tools across multiple stages of the creative process.

• Expert-level creative skills with strong proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Adobe Creative Suite, along with experience using Lottie and modern node-based AI tools.
• Strong design fundamentals (typography, layout, composition) combined with expert knowledge of motion principles, pacing, composition, and visual storytelling
• Ability to translate strategy and creative direction into compelling motion content
• Experience with storyboarding and concept development
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills for collaborating effectively with Creative Directors and multidisciplinary teams.
• A proactive and experimental mindset, with the curiosity to test new AI capabilities and the judgment to turn experimentation into reliable creative workflows.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• A collaborative, feedback-driven approach and commitment to continuously developing both your creative and technical skills.

How we work

Designity is remote, with a structured virtual office environment built for close collaboration, clear communication, and meaningful connection. This role is open across Europe, South Africa, and LATAM, and you will collaborate with Creative Directors, creatives, and marketers across different client projects, industries, and priorities.

AI is part of how we work, but human judgment remains central. You will be expected to actively explore new AI capabilities while taking responsibility for the creative decisions, accuracy, consistency, brand alignment, and final quality of your work.

At least five hours of overlap with U.S. Eastern Time is required so you can collaborate effectively with our U.S.-based clients and teams.
