Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, or TestNG
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster feedback
Develop and maintain test scripts using Java, JavaScript, or C#
Design and execute test cases and automated test scenarios based on user stories and acceptance criteria
Identify, document, and track defects discovered during testing
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members to ensure application quality
Perform manual and automated testing for web applications, APIs, and system integrations
Use tools such as Postman or ReadyAPI for API testing
Execute functional, regression, and integration tests as part of the Software Testing Life Cycle
Perform basic database validation using SQL queries when needed
Maintain testing artifacts and track testing activities using tools such as Jira and XRay
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation coverage

Nice to Have
Extensive experience with integration and interface testing
Exposure to Corporate Database, MPI, VA Profile, and existing API services in the VA network
Ability to write basic Oracle scripts for testing
Experience working with the VA or other Federal agencies
Experience supporting remote work environments
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and VA’s Veteran-Focused Integration Process (VIP)
General awareness of responsible automation and VA modernization priorities
Interest in using emerging tools—including AI-supported analytics—to enhance testing accuracy and efficiency
