Senior BI Engineer at BairesDev
In this role, you'll build ETL/ELT pipelines in Python that feed well-structured data models, powering the semantic layer behind meaningful business intelligence. Working across data modeling and Power BI, you'll ensure that KPIs and metrics reflect the underlying data accurately, from pipeline to dashboard. What You'll Do
- Build ETL/ELT pipelines in Python using Delta Lake, PySpark, pandas, and REST API integrations.
- Design data models using Star/Snowflake schemas and semantic layer architecture in Power BI/Fabric.
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports, including complex DAX measures, KPIs, and calculated columns.
- Write advanced SQL queries and manage data manipulation across SQL Server or similar platforms.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for BI using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Build data quality and validation frameworks to ensure trustworthy reporting.

- 5+ years of experience in BI or data engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Python for ETL/ELT, including Delta Lake, PySpark, pandas, and REST API integrations.
- Experience with data modeling, including Star/Snowflake schemas and semantic layer design in Power BI/Fabric.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Strong DAX skills, including complex measures, KPIs, and calculated columns.
- Advanced SQL skills with SQL Server or similar platforms.

- Background building data quality and validation frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- Experience with Power Query (M) transformations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, including Direct Lake and Lakehouse architecture.
