Key Responsibilities

Design and build backend services and APIs across the product platform, from initial spec through deployment and monitoring.

Own end-to-end delivery for features, coordinating with product managers, designers and other engineers.

Serve as a primary technical contact on your squad's services, managing design docs, code review and incident response.

Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and take ownership of service reliability.

Support senior engineers on architecture decisions, system design reviews and scalability assessments.

Mentor and support junior engineers, setting the code quality and testing standard for the squad.

Maintain technical fluency across backend languages, cloud infrastructure and CI/CD tooling.

Participate in on-call rotations and manage incident response, including root cause analysis and postmortems.
