As a Network/Systems Administrator, you are responsible for maintaining the integrity of our customers’ IT infrastructure, as well as handling second and third-level support of service requests. This relates to all technology, both on-premises and cloud, including workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor-specific hardware and software.
You have the following key areas of responsibility:

Tasks & Responsibilities:
Reactive IT Support
- Second and third-level IT Support relating to systems and network infrastructure issues.
- Support services for Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Cloud services, O365, Intune, Azure Infrastructure.
- Support services for Microsoft Cloud services such as Office 365, Intune and Azure infrastructure services.
- Support services for virtualisation technologies: VMware and Microsoft.
- Remote access solution support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix XenApp.
- Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
- Responding to security alerts and remediating security-related incidents and issues.
- Working with telecommunications carriers to troubleshoot voice and data circuits.
- Communicating with stakeholders as required, including keeping customers informed of incident progress and notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.

Proactive IT Maintenance & Optimisation
- Optimisation and management of the client’s monitoring system, N-Central.
- Perform proactive maintenance for agreement customers to maintain servers and systems, including OS and firmware updates.
- Streamline processes leveraging automation.
IT Knowledgebase
- Update the client’s IT Knowledgebase as new information is determined as part of a service ticket.
- Update client pages in the KB as changes are made.
- Develop and deliver training documentation for staff covering software and systems.
- Document guidelines and proactive best practices – client’s standards.
Customer Success Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with customer account managers, report on issues identified and participate in technical remediation discussions.
- Communicate effectively to non-technical audiences.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Windows Server 2016 and later systems administration
- Extensive experience in the support of Microsoft core services, including Exchange, Office 365, Active Directory and SQL Server
- Knowledge and experience across server virtualisation technologies, with VMware vSphere/ESXi and Azure VM preferred.
- Extensive experience implementing and supporting backup and DR solutions, including Azure backup and Datto products.
- Some knowledge and experience with Citrix, Microsoft Remote Desktop Servicesand AVD.
- 5+ years’ experience in IT.
- Experience with RMM systems e.g. N-Central, Kaseya etc.
- Knowledge and experience across storage solutions and storage area networks.
- Microsoft certifications preferred:
- MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator,
- AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate,
- MS-102: M365 Administrator Expert
