The Opportunity

As an Apigee X Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, securing, and optimizing enterprise-scale APIs within a modern Google Cloud environment.

You will collaborate with platform teams, cloud engineers, security specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver highly secure and scalable API solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain API proxies using Apigee
• Develop and manage enterprise-grade APIs throughout their lifecycle
• Implement API security controls including OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, threat protection, and traffic management

• Configure Shared Flows, KVMs, Flow Hooks, Target Servers, and reusable API components
• Troubleshoot and optimize API performance, reliability, and scalability
• Support API governance and best-practice implementation
• Participate in CI/CD deployment and automation initiatives
• Collaborate with engineering and cloud teams across a large transformation programme
• Contribute to API platform modernization and migration initiatives, including Apigee X
  
  

Required Experience

Must Have

• 7+ years of API Management and API Engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Apigee
• Strong experience with API development and API lifecycle management
• Expertise in REST APIs, API security, and integration patterns
• Experience implementing OAuth2, JWT, API Key, and traffic management policies
• Extensive Apigee X experience & Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience
• Google Cloud Professional Apigee Engineer Certification
• Bachelor's Degree (required for work visa processing)
• Ability to relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia
• Notice period of 30 days or less
