DevOps Engineer | AWS | Terraform
Our Client is a growing Australian technology company building operational software for the mining, engineering and heavy industry sectors.
They're looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to take ownership of cloud infrastructure, automation, security and reliability.
💰 Salary: $120K-$140k base + super
📍 Location: Melbourne preferred | Remote anywhere in Australia
🏢 Working: 3 days/week at 696 Bourke St, Melbourne, or fully remote
💼 Employment: Permanent, full-time

What you'll be doing
- Manage and improve AWS cloud infrastructure
- Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Identify opportunities to optimise AWS costs
- Strengthen cloud security and support ISO 27001 initiatives
- Manage containerised workloads using Docker and AWS ECS
- Own monitoring, alerting and incident response
- Automate repetitive processes and improve developer workflows
- Work closely with Engineering, Product and Delivery teams
- Support the development team with day-to-day infrastructure requirements

What we're looking for
- Strong hands-on AWS experience in production environments
- Proven Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience
- A proactive approach to cloud cost optimisation and security
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Strong scripting skills — Python, Bash or similar
- Experience with Docker and ECS
- Someone who takes ownership and proactively solves problems
- A positive, collaborative approach to working within a small team
Nice to have
- Infrastructure/application monitoring and logging experience
- Exposure to Ruby on Rails
- Experience supporting enterprise customers
- Experience working within a distributed engineering team
