Senior Data Engineer (Cyprus Office)

FP Markets Group of Companies is a well-established multi-regulated broker, founded in Australia, offering traders access to CFD trading on Forex, Indices, Commodities, Stocks and Cryptocurrencies. We are growing and looking to recruit a Full-time Senior Data Engineer in our Cyprus office - a certified Great Place to Work®.

You will play a crucial role in architecting and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our organization. You will work across the entire data lifecycle from ingestion through analysis collaborating with business stakeholders and development teams to deliver robust, scalable data solutions that drive business intelligence and support strategic decision-making.

Reporting to: Head of Data & Analytics

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data integration solutions for extraction, transformation, and loading of data into Data Lake/Data Warehouse environments using cloud-based technologies
• Design and implement rich data models and contribute to the continuous development of the organization's data estate architecture
• Develop and onboard new data pipelines while ensuring reliability, operational stability, and performance of existing systems
• Support the data platform through proactive maintenance, operational oversight, and investigation of data-related incidents
• Analyze business requirements and implement innovative, scalable solutions to meet both immediate and long-term analytics and BI demands
• Evaluate and introduce new frameworks and technologies to drive continuous improvement of the data platform and processes
  

Candidate profile:

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
• Experience in Trading, FinTech, Banking, or other financial-domain projects is highly preferred
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Python
• SQL

• Experience with ClickHouse (replication, engines) or other column oriented DB's
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data modelling, data warehouses, and data platform development
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical solutions, and solve complex data engineering problems

Nice to Have:

• ClickHouse and MPP databases such as Greenplum
• high-volume analytical data processing
• Airflow or similar and distributed data processing technologies
• Ready to automate routines with codex/clade/cursor
• New modern tools sage (datahub, open metadata, great expectations)
