Global Human Resources Director (Dubai Based)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Global Human Resources Director to lead the company's global HR function from our Dubai headquarters. This role is responsible for developing and executing people strategies that support international business growth while ensuring operational excellence, organizational effectiveness, and compliance across multiple countries.


As a trusted business partner to the executive leadership team, you will oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, build scalable HR frameworks, develop leadership capabilities, and cultivate a high-performance culture across diverse markets.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and execute global HR strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
  • Partner with executive leadership on organizational planning, business expansion, and workforce strategies.
  • Drive organizational design, change management, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Establish standardized global HR policies while adapting to local market requirements.

Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding

  • Lead global recruitment strategies across multiple regions and business functions.
  • Build and strengthen the company's employer brand to attract top international talent.
  • Develop succession plans and leadership pipelines for key positions.
  • Monitor workforce planning to support business growth.

Performance Management & Talent Development

  • Design and implement global performance management frameworks and KPI systems.
  • Lead annual performance reviews, talent assessments, and calibration exercises.
  • Develop leadership development, learning, and career progression programs.
  • Coach senior leaders on people management and organizational effectiveness.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Develop competitive global compensation and benefits strategies.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis across different regions.
  • Review incentive plans, bonus structures, and employee recognition programs.
  • Ensure fair and consistent compensation practices globally.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee HR operations across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Standardize HR policies, SOPs, and governance processes.
  • Supervise payroll governance, HRIS, employee records, and HR reporting.
  • Manage audits and employment-related risk mitigation.

Employee Relations & Culture

  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and organizational culture programs.
  • Handle complex employee relations matters and provide guidance to regional HR teams.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization.

Global Mobility & International Expansion

  • Support international expansion through workforce planning and HR integration.
  • Oversee expatriate management, international assignments, and relocation processes where applicable.
  • Provide HR guidance for new market entry and organizational restructuring.

Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop regional HR teams across multiple countries.
  • Build strong partnerships with business leaders and country managers.
  • Manage the global HR budget and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and employee experience.


Requirements

Education

  • Master's Degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Professional HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CIPD Level 7, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing HR across multiple countries or regions.
  • Experience supporting multinational or high-growth organizations.
  • Strong background in strategic HR business partnering, organizational development, and talent management.
  • Experience leading HR transformation and organizational change initiatives.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of international employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of performance management, compensation, employee relations, and talent development.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and HR digital transformation.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

  • Experience supporting operations across the Middle East, APAC, Europe, Africa, or LATAM.

  • Familiarity with UAE Labour Law and employment regulations, as well as coordinating HR compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
