Job Title: Junior Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Junior Cloud Engineer with a strong interest in cloud computing, infrastructure automation, and modern software development. The ideal candidate will assist in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based solutions while supporting application development and infrastructure operations. This role is ideal for candidates with 1–4 years of experience who are eager to build their careers in cloud engineering and DevOps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Support the development, testing, and deployment of cloud-native applications and services.
• Write and maintain scripts and automation tools using Python, Java, Shell Scripting, or similar programming languages.
• Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

• Assist with infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Implement security best practices, access controls, and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
• Support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Document cloud architectures, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies, DevOps tools, and industry best practices.

Required Skills:

• 1–4 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Systems Administration, DevOps, Software Development, or related IT fields.
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Programming experience in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.

• Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and load balancing.
• Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server administration.
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or container orchestration platforms.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM Templates.

• Understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of cloud security, identity management, and compliance concepts.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Cloud Computing, or a related technical field.
• A relevant Master's degree is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Must be willing to relocate anywhere within the United States for onsite client projects.
