This team develops industry-leading tools for Ethereum developers. Their products provide a comprehensive platform for writing, testing, compiling, and deploying Solidity contracts. From beginners to seasoned professionals managing billions in on-chain assets, developers rely on Hardhat to build robust and secure Ethereum applications. THey are committed to delivering a world-class developer experience for the entire Ethereum ecosystem..

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Build and nurture a high-performing engineering team. Foster a culture of learning, growth, and collaboration. Implement and refine performance management, career development, and hiring processes.
• Product Delivery: Own project execution, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features. Define MVPs, set milestones, and manage project scope effectively. Collaborate closely with product management to align technical roadmap with user needs.
• Strategic Leadership: Provide technical guidance on architectural and design decisions. Communicate the team's vision and goals clearly. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
• Technical Excellence: Maintain a deep understanding of compiler technology. Conduct code reviews, identify technical risks, and suggest improvements. Mentor engineers on best practices and coding standards.

This position is 100% remote and location needs to be CEST and up to 3-4 hours from this timezone.

For this Developer Tools Engineering Manager position, I'm interested in speaking to people with the following:

• 3+ years of experience managing and growing engineering teams in a remote or hybrid environment.
• 6+ years of experience leading technical projects with a proven track record of success.
• Strong technical foundation with experience in compiler development or related fields.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with Rust and open source development is a plus.
• Prior experience building extensible developer tools, including test environments, deployment systems, build pipelines is a plus.
• Experience with open source and/or TypeScript projects is a plus.
