Key Responsibilities

Drive implementation of privacy controls, governance frameworks, and compliance processes across the organization
Ensure alignment with privacy regulations, internal policies, audit requirements, and industry standards
Monitor project performance, identify risks, and manage mitigation plans for cross-functional workstreams
Create executive-level presentations, dashboards, and steering committee updates for leadership
Support audit readiness efforts and regulatory assessments by maintaining compliance documentation
Manage release planning, deployment activities, and post-launch stabilization for privacy initiatives

Compensation & Location

Location: Torrance, CA

Pay Range: $67.00 – $74.00 per hour (based on experience and internal equity)

Schedule: Full-time, contract; long-term opportunity

Work Type: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager – Data Privacy & Compliance to lead large-scale regulatory, privacy, and compliance initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. This role will be responsible for driving cross-functional programs focused on privacy compliance, regulatory readiness, governance, risk management, and enterprise policy implementation while partnering closely with Legal, Compliance, Security, IT, and business stakeholders.


The ideal candidate combines strong project and program management expertise with experience leading privacy-related initiatives, managing enterprise budgets, and delivering complex regulatory programs within highly regulated environments.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise privacy and compliance initiatives including CCPA, CPRA, AADC, ADA, and related regulatory programs

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, milestones, and governance activities

• Manage multiple cross-functional workstreams and project teams to ensure successful project delivery

• Drive implementation of privacy controls, governance frameworks, and compliance processes across the organization

• Ensure alignment with privacy regulations, internal policies, audit requirements, and industry standards

• Monitor project performance, identify risks, and proactively manage issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans

• Track project budgets, perform variance analysis, and provide financial forecasts and recommendations to leadership

• Create executive-level presentations, dashboards, status reports, and steering committee updates

• Build strong relationships with executive leadership, Legal, Compliance, Information Security, IT, and business stakeholders

• Support requirements gathering, backlog prioritization, and project planning activities

• Translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable project plans and implementation roadmaps

• Support audit readiness efforts and regulatory assessments by maintaining project documentation and compliance evidence

• Manage release planning, deployment activities, production support coordination, and post-launch stabilization efforts

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and establish privacy program and project management best practices

• Promote privacy-by-design principles and sustainable compliance processes across the enterprise

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 7–10+ years of IT project or program management experience

• Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional enterprise initiatives

• Strong understanding of privacy regulations and compliance program delivery

• Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, timelines, resources, and governance activities

• Experience gathering requirements and managing complex stakeholder environments

• Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid SDLC methodologies

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

• Strong executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities

• Experience managing multiple priorities in fast-paced enterprise environments

• Stable work history within large enterprise organizations

• Experience with privacy platforms such as OneTrust or similar technologies


Desired Skills


• Knowledge of data governance, information security, risk management, and compliance frameworks

• Experience using Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Power BI, or similar project management tools

• Experience translating regulatory requirements into business and technical implementation plans

• Experience supporting audit readiness, regulatory reviews, and compliance assessments

• Strong program governance and financial management experience

• 3+ years of Big 4 consulting experience preferred

• Experience working within highly regulated enterprise environments
