Key Responsibilities

Create low- and high-fidelity prototypes using industry-standard tools
Document interaction patterns, navigation structures, and visual design guidelines
Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of UI/UX designs
Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, including Section 508 and WCAG guidelines
Create and maintain style guides, component libraries, and comprehensive design documentation
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint reviews, planning, and refinement sessions
Analyze user feedback and usage data to continually refine and improve user experience

About The Role

In this fully remote position, you will play a critical role in designing intuitive and accessible user experiences that meet the complex needs of government stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include creating wireframes, prototypes, conducting user research, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to translate mission requirements into polished, human-centered designs. This role demands a strong understanding of UX principles, accessibility standards, and the ability to work effectively within Agile development processes. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that digital services are both functional and user-friendly, ultimately supporting the agency’s mission objectives.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active Secret clearance supported by a Tier 3 background investigation
  • Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Digital Arts, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in UI/UX design, human-centered design, or digital interface development
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and user research methodologies
  • Knowledge of accessibility design standards (WCAG, Section 508)
  • Experience conducting usability testing and user research
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and business teams
