About The Role

Vetcove is seeking an experienced and versatile Staff Product Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing exceptional user experiences that empower veterinary clinics to operate efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for leading end-to-end design efforts across core product areas, including inventory management, pharmacy workflows, and other critical practice management functions.

As a key member of our remote team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and our founding team to translate complex workflows into intuitive, user-friendly designs. Your work will influence not only our product development but also help shape our overall design culture as we scale. You will have the opportunity to think systemically, prototype rapidly, and bring clarity to complex problems, ensuring that our platform remains cohesive and highly usable for our diverse user base.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing thoughtful, intuitive web applications
  • Proven track record of shipping complex B2B or SaaS products
  • Strong understanding of systems thinking, patterns, and usability principles
  • Expertise in interaction design, visual design, and user experience
  • Excellent portfolio demonstrating product thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineers and stakeholders
  • Pragmatic approach to design, balancing quality with project constraints
  • Experience facilitating design sprints, user research, and collaborative workshops
  • Ability to evolve and maintain design systems for consistency across platforms

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for core product areas, from initial concept to final implementation
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define roadmaps and prioritize problems to solve
  • Create detailed flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate ideas effectively
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure high-quality implementation that aligns with design intent
  • Facilitate user research sessions, design sprints, and collaborative workshops to gather insights and validate solutions
  • Help evolve and maintain a comprehensive design system to ensure a cohesive user experience
  • Contribute to building and nurturing a strong design culture within the organization
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve design quality
