Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve differences between graphics backends, including memory usage, shader compilation, synchronization, driver behavior, and rendering artifacts.
Develop comparison frameworks, regression tests, and validation tools to guarantee consistent rendering results across platforms.
Establish GPU and CPU profiling workflows on Linux, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.
Contribute to advanced rendering initiatives involving wide-angle rendering, multi-view systems, scene reconstruction, lighting, and GPU workload optimization.
Collaborate with infrastructure, build, and simulation teams to ensure seamless integration across containerized applications, cloud GPU environments, and development pipelines.
Apply AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, documentation, and engineering workflows.
Drive technical decisions independently while communicating complex graphics concepts clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Accountabilities

The Senior Linux Graphics Engineer will take ownership of complex rendering initiatives, ensuring platform reliability, performance, and scalability. This role requires deep technical expertise, independent problem-solving, and collaboration across engineering teams to advance graphics capabilities for simulation platforms.

  • Lead the migration of a real-time renderer from Windows to Linux using Vulkan, ensuring production-quality output across supported camera, lidar, and radar configurations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in real-time graphics engineering, strong knowledge of modern rendering technologies, and the ability to deliver complex projects in a highly autonomous environment.

  • 7+ years of experience in real-time graphics, engine programming, or related fields, with experience delivering production-level software.
  • Strong production experience with Vulkan, including render paths, memory management, descriptor handling, synchronization, validation, and debugging.
  • Proven experience developing and shipping graphics software on Linux, including knowledge of GPU drivers, shader toolchains, containers, and debugging workflows.
  • Advanced proficiency in modern C++ and experience navigating large-scale codebases with complex build systems and CI pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and optimize GPU and CPU performance using tools such as RenderDoc, Nsight, or equivalent profiling solutions.
  • Experience independently driving technically challenging projects from initial design through successful delivery.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex graphics concepts and trade-offs effectively.
