Key Responsibilities
Build and lead a new Simulation team from the ground up, including defining scope, hiring engineers, and establishing team culture and practices
Architect and own the hardware abstraction layer connecting sensors, actuators, and physical hardware to simulation environments
Develop and integrate physics simulators using open-source frameworks, with a focus on fidelity, performance, and sim-to-real transfer
Partner with AI, Controls, Perception Sensors, Hardware Interfaces, and Systems Integration teams to support new robot development and capability expansion
Define what success looks like for simulation at Agility — tooling, workflows, coverage, and metrics — and drive the team to deliver it
Develop your engineers: set clear expectations, create growth opportunities, and build a team people want to be part of
