About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Java Developer to join our dynamic team remotely within the United States. In this full-time, direct W2 position, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade web applications and distributed systems that operate at significant scale across multiple business domains. Your expertise will be instrumental in translating complex business requirements into robust technical solutions, overseeing the entire engineering lifecycle from conception to deployment and operational support.

The ideal candidate will possess deep backend Java experience within the Spring ecosystem, complemented by strong front-end development skills using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue. You will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and fellow developers in an Agile environment to deliver secure, high-performance applications that support strategic business outcomes. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in software development, particularly in enterprise application development
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles
• Proficiency in Java (versions 11 and 17) and the Spring Boot framework
• Hands-on experience designing and operating microservices architectures, including service decomposition and observability
• Experience developing front-end applications using React, with familiarity in Angular or Vue considered a plus
• Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
• Experience with CI/CD tools and Git-based version control workflows
• Deployment experience on major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and continuously improve scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring they are independently deployable and aligned with enterprise architecture standards
• Write secure, well-tested, and high-quality production code following internal standards and security best practices
• Develop responsive, component-based front-end applications using React or equivalent frameworks, focusing on user experience, accessibility, and performance
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations to connect distributed backend systems with clear contracts and versioning strategies
• Participate in architecture and design discussions, providing insights on scalability, resiliency, maintainability, and cost-efficiency
• Optimize application performance through profiling, database query tuning, JVM tuning, and API throughput enhancements
• Implement and maintain robust state management patterns for complex front-end applications
• Create comprehensive automated test suites to ensure code quality and system reliability
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline automation using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Identify system bottlenecks, technical debt, and architectural weaknesses, driving remediation efforts through refactoring and technical design
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams in planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, demos, and retrospectives
