Senior BI Data Scientist
Location: 100% Remote – Home Base in Malta or other European Countries (Must have full right to work in the country you reside in)

A global leader in immersive and interactive AI is in search of an experienced Senior BI Data Scientist to transform raw data into valuable insights that inform strategic decision making across the organisation. You will be an exceptional communicator who excels at translating technical information to a wide audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with data engineer to set up the data infrastructure, including data warehouse and data visualisation.
- Own the data roadmap, prioritizing data needs of different stakeholders, and backlog planning.
- Develop and maintain scalable data management systems, integrating data from various sources using advanced data extraction and transformation techniques.
- Design and create data reports, visualizations, and interactive BI dashboards using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Lead the interpretation and analysis of data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Collaborate with different teams to understand their data needs and deliver comprehensive BI solutions.
- Provide training and support to team members on BI tools and best practices.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout all processes.
- Present complex analysis and insights to stakeholders, enhancing data-driven decision-making
- across the organization.
Required Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in BI / data science, with an established skillset in data analysis
- and visualization tools, with big data and machine learning a plus. For example:
- Data Analysis and Statistical Computing: Python (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy), R
- Data Visualization: Tableau, Power BI, Looker
- Database Management: SQL for relational databases, NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Big Data Technologies: Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka
- Machine Learning and Advanced Analytics: TensorFlow, scikit-learn,
- PyTorch expertise in data management, including extraction, cleaning, and
- transformation of data.
Essential Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex data in an understandable manner.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to lead and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Business acumen with an understanding of company goals and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
