Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes
Provide support and technical quality guidance for three product lines covering 85% of plant revenue
Complete process flow diagrams, process failure mode and effect analysis, standard work, and control plans
Monitor OEM websites, visit customers for complaint resolution, complete 8-Ds and A3s
Perform data analysis on problem areas and make recommendations
Support ongoing improvement on overall equipment effectiveness and develop capability, Gage R&R, and runoff criteria
Oversee advanced quality product planning and production part approval process documents
Complete process audits, initiate corrective actions, lead cost save/variation reduction projects
Mentor fellow employees on quality principles and standards
Support cost out project initiatives to closure such as VA/VEs
Evaluate 8Ds completed by fellow quality engineers for effectiveness
Investigate and troubleshoot problems and develop plans for solutions

Nice to Have
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and/or Industrial Engineering
Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green belt or Black belt)
Experience with supplier quality and customer contact
Strong organization and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with mechanical aptitude
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a matrix environment
Collaborative approach to driving change and leveraging cross-divisional expertise
Experience with project/program management
Conducting capability analysis
Analyzing cost of poor quality, defects per million
Designing experiments and gauging accuracy, repeatability and reproducibility
Working with histograms, multivariance analysis, normal distributions, probability, six sigma, standard deviation, statistical control and variation
Working with control plans

Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Lead Quality Engineer. This is a full time, on-site position based at our Roxboro,NC manufacturing facility. Relocation assistance is available to those within the US/PR.The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
