Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to help us build and scale our modern data platform. In this role, you will work closely under the guidance of our Central Platform Team to build our Databricks engineering framework, establish reusable development patterns, and advance our core codebase.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or Data Platform Engineer working with Databricks.
  • Strong proficiency in PySpark, SQL, and Python within the Databricks ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with modern IDEs (VS Code) and version control workflows (Git / GitHub).
  • Familiarity or eager enthusiasm for using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT for code).
  • Experience implementing design patterns, reusable frameworks, and data pipeline modularization.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, platform-guided environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, or Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for data engineering (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Work Location: 100% Remote.
  • Working Hours: Ability to work full-time within the Spain time zone (CET/CEST)
  • Workload: Full-time (40h/week)
  • Contract Type: Temporary / Fixed-Term Contract - 9 months
